That night we decided to catch some comedy acts of the Fringe and settled on Rhys Darby (Flight of the Conchords) and Sam Simmons (TripleJ). We were running slightly late for Rhys Darby and were hurrying up the street when Shereen was telling me to stop and turn around. At first I ignored her and told her we had to hurry, but the she said what sounded like "no, look, it's the hulk!". When I turned around and there was no massive half naked green man in front of me I looked for what she could have said, and there he was, the Hoff! Standing on the side of the road was David Hasslehoff! It was the one time Shereen didn't have her camera with her and she was kicking herself, but it was a fun start to the night which only got better as it went along. Rhys Darby is equally as funny without the Conchords and Sam Simmons is so completely hilarious and completely disturbing at the same time that you don't know what is going on but you can't stop laughing.
For our last day in Edinburgh, Shereen and I decided to go on the optional trip out to Loch Ness. Although the actual town and loch were very pretty, it was a horrible day. We had literally the most annoying tour guide I have ever had to endure (it was not our Topdeck leader but an outside company) who if she wasn't blasting bagpipe music was going on and on about what must have been every Scottish clan war that ever occurred. She was completely infantile and kept telling us that if we didn't believe in the monster she would punish us and it was like we were in some nightmarish pantomime that I couldn't escape, not even with iPod on full volume.
